Horbury Building Systems Ltd Scope of Works involved were:

  • The Aerolite Stone Rainscreen system supplied by Tiles International was installed typically to the 3 main stair cores that extend from Ground Floor up to Level 9 on 3 corners of the building
  • The Stone rainscreen which was supported from an Aluminium Subframe was installed in a staggered bond using 4 different tile heights of varying lengths which presented a challenging build not only from an installation point of view but also from a design and scheduling perspective
  • The Terracotta Rainscreen works consisted of Vertical Pre - drilled top hat sections being fixed to a Steel frame (by others) and then the Terracotta Tiles were fixed back to the vertical top hats. The 4 different coloured tiles were stack bonded and fixed using a random pattern to reflect the architects design brief
  • The Aerolite Granite Rainscreen was fitted to the perimeter of the Car - Park at plinth level and was fitted to varying Background systems to reflect the various substrates encountered on site. The project is currently being considered for numerous awards one of which is the prestigious North West Building of the Decade award.
