Claremont Place Newcastle consisted of 89 existing student flats and common areas which required stripping as well as needing reinstating to Empiric branding. This was a complicated project which was to be completed within a challenging timescale and budget.

Horbury Joinery Ltd undertook the following works:

  • Rewired and replaced distribution boards, power outlets data and lighting
  • Replaced sanitaryware, radiators and flush systems
  • Repaired and rebalanced existing ventilation systems and installed a new AC system into the gym
  • Re-decorated throughout the building i.e. replacing all flooring, installing new furniture such as beds, shelving, wardrobes, desks and bookcases
  • Altered the layout of the top floor of the building to accommodate new flats which included bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens
  • Converted existing bedrooms to create a common room, gym, cinema and laundry room.

Horbury Joinery Ltd acted as a principle contractor coordinating all trades and working closely with the client’s design team. The entire project was completed within the summer holiday period and delivered to budget.
