As an Apprentice Sales Office Administrator you will assist the Sales Office Manager in maintaining administration relevant to the Estimating and Business Development functions and the Estimating team in the production of quotations and tenders. 
You will learn all about the basics of working in administration and apply this knowledge to your own workplace to show your understanding and competence in carrying out a range of tasks.


Qualifications Required

Minimum, 5 GCSEs grades A*- C including English and Maths.


Full Description

Horbury is seeking someone who is wishing to begin their career in construction. We are prepared to invest time and experience to develop the right person who will become a valued employee at the end of the apprenticeship. 
You need to be prepared to learn the fundamentals of construction to be successful in your role. 
You will be part of a team, self-disciplined, able to receive and follow instructions and appreciate how your role supports the organisation and our clients. You will report to the Sales Office Manager and be expected to work to targets and deadlines. 

- Logging and controlling leads, bids and related activities; 
- Complete Pre-qualification questionnaires to enable the group to be entered onto supply chain lists; 
- Assist estimators, downloading drawings, measuring basic construction materials.


Working Week

35 (Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 with 60 minutes unpaid lunch breaks)

Other Information 

From the 1st April 2017, the National Minimum Wage (NMW) for apprentices aged 16-18, and those aged over 19 who are in the first year of their Apprenticeship, is set at £3.50 per hour. The NMW applies to time working and time spent training as this is also part of the Apprenticeship. Anyone not covered by the age categories above will be entitled to the NMW appropriate to their age.
