We are thrilled to share the heart-warming outcome of our recent Horbury Group works Christmas party. Through the generosity of all attending staff, we collectively raised an impressive £784.52. Our chosen beneficiary is the Yorkshire Lowland Rescue—a vital organisation dedicated to providing trained search and rescue technicians to aid the Police in Yorkshire and the Humber. Their noble mission involves assisting vulnerable individuals, including children, seniors coping with dementia, and those in distressing situations.
The volunteers at Yorkshire Lowland Rescue undergo rigorous training, meeting national standards established by the Association of Lowland Rescue, ensuring their expertise in Search and Rescue techniques. Additionally, their support extends to collaborating with several Mountain Rescue teams in Yorkshire, offering mutual aid to neighbouring Lowland Rescue teams.
It's important to note that Yorkshire Lowland Rescue operates solely through donations from compassionate individuals and local businesses, receiving no government funding. For those seeking further information on Yorkshire Lowlands Rescue please see below:
