Claremont Place Newcastle consisted of 89 existing student flats and common areas which required stripping as well as needing reinstating to Empiric branding. This was a complicated project which was to be completed within a challenging timescale and budget.

Horbury Joinery Ltd undertook the following works:

Rewired and replaced distribution boards, power outlets data and lighting

Replaced sanitaryware, radiators and flush systems

Repaired and rebalanced existing ventilation systems and installed a new AC system into the gym

Re-decorated throughout the building i.e. replacing all flooring, installing new furniture such as beds, shelving, wardrobes, desks and bookcases

Altered the layout of the top floor of the building to accommodate new flats which included bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens

Converted existing bedrooms to create a common room, gym, cinema and laundry room.

Horbury Joinery Ltd acted as a principle contractor coordinating all trades and working closely with the client’s design team. The entire project was completed within the summer holiday period and delivered to budget.
