The Cocoa Works, located just a short distance from York City Centre, is a transformative residential development set within the iconic former Rowntree factory. Combining the rich heritage of the site with modern design and living essentials, The Cocoa Works offers a unique living experience. The development features 279 contemporary apartments, each designed to reflect the historic charm of the factory, while offering all the comforts of modern life, including a concierge service, landscaped gardens, and communal spaces.

Horbury Joinery played a pivotal role in the renovation of The Cocoa Works, providing a full range of bespoke joinery services across the entire development. Our team was responsible for supplying and fitting all doors, ironmongery, riser doors, window boards, and skirting boards throughout the 279 apartments. Every detail was crafted to complement the building’s historic design, creating a seamless integration of past and present. In addition to the joinery work, Horbury Joinery collaborated closely with our sister company, Titan Flooring Ltd, to deliver the soft flooring package across the development.
