Battersea Power Station has been handed over and is officially open to the public!
Horbury Joinery played a significant part in this development, working as the Joinery Subcontractor on Phase 3 for Sir Robert McAlpine.
Back in 1941 when the power station first opened its doors, it supplied a fifth of London’s electricity. After years of being empty, it has now been redeveloped into a place to live, eat, drink and shop – and we have played a part in the process!
Horbury Joinery were appointed to deliver the doors, ironmongery, window boards, skirtings, and bathrooms across 550 apartments. In addition to this, we were contracted to provide bespoke and general joinery across 15 floors of the Art’otel hotel, which included a signature bar and lounge!
The Art’otel fuses art, design and hospitality and is situated next to the iconic Battersea Power Station.
Take a look at the pictures to see how fantastic this project looks!
Well done to all involved
