Horbury Academy Manager
Horbury is delighted to announce the appointment of Harriet Mather (Harri) to the new full-time role of Horbury Academy Manager in October 2019.
This role had previously been fulfilled by Dave Milne alongside his operational responsibilities. Dave has been instrumental in developing Horbury Academy and has had a hand in the early career of most of our apprentices for the past 3 years. We thank Dave for his commitment and hard work in this time and wish him well in his full-time operational role going forward.
Harri’s appointment underscores the maturing of Horbury Academy and demonstrates Horbury’s continued commitment to its apprenticeship scheme.
Harri has transferred internally from Horbury Property Services where she has held the role of Senior Planning and Support Coordinator for the past 18 months. She has 4 years’ experience in the construction industry having previously worked for Carillion as a Works Scheduler for Northern Rail (Manchester Region). She says: “I am looking forward to getting stuck into my new role and becoming an active advocate for Horbury Academy.”
Harri’s immediate challenges will be getting to know lots of new people (apprentices, mentors and managers) and processes in each group company. She will be visiting sites regularly to gain the trust and support of apprentices, mentors and managers and to ensure that the standard of care given to our apprentices reflects the importance that we place on Horbury Academy.
