Progress Update CCDD ICR Sutton

Project blog:

Kier London Ltd are building a new drug discovery building on behalf of the Institute of Cancer research in Sutton south London.  

Horbury Joinery are engaged as the Joinery sub-contractors and are undertaking the following scope of works:

Roof boxes:

Timber & plywood roof structures that house the large mechanical ducts that pass through the main roof.

Window & skirting boards:

MDF window & skirting boards to all areas.    

Selo metal riser door sets & associated ironmongery:  

Installation & fire sealing of the Selo metal riser door sets to all levels.   

Shadbolt timber door sets & associated ironmongery:

Installation & fire sealing of the Shadbolt split frame timber door sets to all levels.  

Timber panelling:

Oak slatted acoustic timber panelling to the main entrance atrium and stairs areas, along with sections of the panelling on the west elevation of all floor plates. This paneling has integral LED lighting which HJL are installing in conjunction with the M&E contractors.

Panelling is also being installed to the ground floor Kiosk café areas.

Kiosk café:

On the ground floor HJL are fitting out the Kiosk café which will include all catering equipment, back painted glass screens and timber panelling.

Within the seating areas outside the Kiosk café, HJL are installing fire rated glazed screens with integral window blinds.
